Severe weather across the U.S.

We would like to offer our condolences to those that have lost much due to the severe weather throughout the country.

Our thoughts are with the affected communities and NASW-AZ invites you to make a donation to organizations working on disaster relief efforts such as the American Red Cross.

The Missouri Chapter of NASW established the Missouri Social Work Disaster Relief Fund and Volunteer Program.

NASW-AZ Executive Director

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself via a short video message. My name is Jeremy Arp, and I am serving the Arizona Chapter as the new executive director as of January 2011. This has already been an exciting year to say the least. With Social Work Month and the legislative sesssion behind us, we have much more to look forward as summer and fall approach. Please be prepared for a wonderful second half of 2011 — chapter elections are fast approaching and be on the lookout for announcements related to the 2011 Social Work Summit. If you have not already, please follow us on facebook and twitter and become a member by going to socialworkers.org.

Thank you, and I look forward to continuing to serve you!

The NASW-AZ Chapter is pleased to offer you a variety of learning formats for your continuing education needs.  These offerings include:

  • Self Study Programs
  • Audio Workshops available for download (podcasts)
  • Taped video presentations
  • Live on-line seminars (webinars/teleconferences)

In AZ, there is no limit to the number of continuing education units that can be obtained online.  However, each CEU provider must meet the requirements of the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.  The NASW-AZ online institute is an approved provider as outlined in the AZ licensure rules.  All of these programs are approved for licensure renewal for Social Workers, and many are approved for Counselors, Substance Abuse Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists.
